Competition

There will be two different competition formats in floorball at the Special Olympics Sweden Invitational Games 2026:

Special Olympics Floorball and Unified Floorball.

Special Olympics Floorball

Matches will be played with mixed teams (both men and women). All players must have a intellectual disability.

Playing format: 4-a-side (including goalkeeper).
Age limit: From 12 years.

Game time: 2 x 10 minutes.

Divisioning
The competition starts with divisioning matches (1 x 7 minutes per game).
These matches decide the team’s level.

The team is placed in a division and stays in that division for the rest of the
competition.
Divisioning is done to make the matches as fair as possible.
